An Edible Mosaic: Middle Eastern Fare with Extraordinary Flair

Make a culinary mosaic with this Middle Eastern cookbook!

At the point when Faith Gorsky wedded her Syrian spouse, she was acquainted with a social and culinary world that would always change how she encountered food and preparing. Gorsky's relative encouraged her, and in a half year gave her an exhaustive course in Middle Eastern cooking that turned into the reason for her mainstream site, An Edible Mosaic—and now this book. The development and accomplishment of her site and her developing enthusiasm for dishes from the Middle East prompted much more outings to the territory, where she extended her insight into the food and procured more plans to cook and offer with her better half and the online network.

In this Syrian cookbook, Gorsky shares her preferred plans from all through the area:
Sheep or Beef Kebab, Several Ways (Mashawi)
Smooth Chickpea and Yogurt Casserole (Fetteh)
Parsley Salad with Bulgur Wheat (Tabbouleh)
Sumac-Spiced Chicken (Musakhan)
Dish Seared White Cheese

Also, 75 more, combined with 175 shading photos

Her affection for the food of her significant other's country goes over in her energy for assembling these Syrian plans, and in the mindfulness that Middle Eastern cooking is something beyond a methods for food—it lies at the focal point of social affairs with loved ones.

About the Author
Faith Gorsky fell in love with Middle Eastern cuisine when she spent six months living in Damascus. Her Syrian mother-in-law, who happens to be a master cook, was a willing teacher and patient guide. During the past six years, Faith has visited the Middle East four different times, each time expanding her passion and knowledge for both the cuisine and culture of the region. Combining her love for writing and cooking, Faith started her successful and wildly popular food blog, An Edible Mosaic and in two years has built a following of fans that love both her food and her writing. She cooks, writes and lives in Upstate New York.

Every recipe we've tried has turned out wonderfully, and many are accurate representations of the food family members remember from Damascus. The recipes are a combination of quick and more time-consuming projects, as traditional ethnic recipes often are. Instructions are clear, and include some adaptations for the modern kitchen (e.g. a food processor instead of a mortar and pestle). Great addition to our cookbook library! If you're looking for a Syrian cookbook, this is one of the best available at the moment.-F.A
I bought this book because I do follow Faith's blog (which I love...great recipes) and because I grew up eating Middle Eastern food and always love to explore it further. These recipes are authentic remind me so much of how my Mom cooked. What I didn't expect when I bought this book was what a great read it was! Faith's stories are well written and interesting. -Cookshopeat
Having married into a Middle-Eastern family back in the 1980s, and now living in the Middle East for much of the year, I rely often on cookery books to help me get it right. I have some really well-known ones that have helped me come up with the goods, but very few can match the simple presentation and beautiful photographs of this wonderful treasury of recipes.I discovered Faith Gorsky's Blog by chance when I was looking for a recipe for Okra. I found a wonderful collection of authentic recipes and subscribed to the newsletter. I was delighted to hear that she was publishing a cookbook containing many of these special recipes and more, and added it to my Amazon Wish List immediately. When I returned to the Scottish Islands last month, I placed my order, and I was delighted to receive my copy the very next day.-Scotlanda
