About the Author
Bianca Haun is the food blogger behind Elephantastic Vegan, where she shares her favorite plant-based recipes and spreads the word about veganism without being too preachy about it. Together with her boyfriend, Sascha, they are a foodie couple that, after adapting a plant-based diet, fell in love with food all over again.
Sascha Naderer is the stew-cooking, breadstick-eating, avocado-craving side of this book. To him, cooking is about creativity, spontaneity, and tons of garlic, and he sees decadent vegan food as the perfect way to enjoy great food without having to compromise his ethics. He and Bianca currently reside in Linz, Austria.

This is a great collection of easy, everyday vegan recipes. I've been cooking and baking vegan recipes for almost two decades, but I'm always on the lookout for inspiration. I like recipes that aren't overly complicated and don't require expensive or obscure ingredients, and this cookbook fits the bill. I was also happy to see so many meal-worthy recipes. There are some great breakfast and dessert recipes, too, but finding fulfilling vegan recipes for lunch and dinner is more challenging. And there is a wide range of cuisine in this cookbook, like Soothing Mushroom Ramen Soup, Cheesy Tex-Mex Wraps, Caribbean-Inspired Coconut Milk Curry, and Sushi Bowl with Sesame-Crusted Tofu. As a side note, this is a full-color, hardback cookbook and I believe there is a photo for every recipe.-Alisa
Favorite cookbook I own!!! Seriously, all of the recipes in here are something I actually want to make with ingredients that you typically have laying around the house. PLUS, the recipes are usually really short and simple (which I LOVE). Definitely highly recommend buying this cookbook. Here are few photos of food I made from the cookbook. Enjoy! -Tabitha
I had been following the author's blog for years and was super delighted when this cookbook came out. The recipes are easy to recreate with maximum flavour. To me, many of the dishes can be categorised as "comfort food" and are perfect for people who want to "try" vegan - for life, for a few weeks or only for a single meal to "see how it tastes". I tell you, you won't be disappointed. The author perfectly shows how simple and inexpensive it can be to eat a plant-based diet and that you don't have to buy all those fancy ingredients but that you can cook from your pantry. As on her blog, the photos in this book are beautifully designed and shot which will make you take the book from the shelf and browse it even when you aren't hungry. -Alice
