I was lucky to have had a Mom who got us involved as young children in cooking. This book is a wonderful example of how to do just that. Michelle breaks down each recipe in to age appropriate tasks and offers helpful tips on how to get your child involved and therefore excited to make and eat healthy meals. She also emphasizes using local ingredients as much as possible. The recipes are easy to follow and many are simple, quick and easy for a busy Mom to accomplish. With so many families relying on fast food or overly processed ready to eat food, this book is a breath of fresh air. --Kallyamp

I love this book. I am always looking for new recipes for foods that kids will eat as well as grownups. These recipes are healthy, tasty and simple to prepare. I love the stories and the descriptions about the recipes. The directions are age appropriate and the kids or grandkids can help prepare their recipe as well as learn about healthy eating in the process. I am in my mid50's, with no young kids at home, but I love to cook simple and healthy. That's my biggest reason for getting this cookbook. When the grandkids come along they can cook right along with me. The Apple Crisp with Vanilla Sauce is already a family favorite! --Radja

I'm impressed with this cookbook. Michelle makes it easy to see what steps are appropriate for which age of children by color-coding the steps. Lots of great tips in the book, and the recipes I've tried so far have been great. It's great to cook with kids, but I think anyone would benefit from this cookbook. --S. Omeone
