These 140+ unique, fast, and simple plans for frozen yogurts, puddings, cream pies, fridge cakes, layer cakes, brownies, biscuits, scones, and even hotcakes and waffles are a transformation. Turbo Blender Dessert Revolution is treat making not at all like anything previously. This is an entirely different approach to consider a turbo blender. Furthermore, you thought you just got it for smoothies!
I have made several of the recipes. In the oven right now is Sweet Cherry Clafouti, so I decided to get busy and write the review I had promised myself I'd write. I have made Lemon Pudding, Key Lime Pie, Cherry Vanilla no bake cheesecake, Pineapple Cheesecake, Raspberry Crumb Cake, Pear Crisp with Ginger Walnut Topping, New England Cranberry Pie, Corn Muffins, Quick Gingerbread, and the Hot Fudge Sauce. I had wanted to learn what my high powered blender could do. One thing I really like is that the baked recipes use soft white wheat berries. These may be hard to get, but they're worth it and grind so well in the high speed blender. I wish there were dessert breads in here, if they ever publish a blender book with bread recipes, I would be interested. I made bread once with my blender and it came out good. My favorite thing to make in the blender is lemon or lime curd. You don't cook on the stove, you cook it in the blender, recipe on line. --Lord Kei
The concept for this book is quite revolutionary (yes, the pun was intentional!) and the recipes in the book are wonderful! If you have one of these turbo blenders, this is a GREAT addition to whatever cookbooks you may have. Mark Scarbrough is a talented (and hilarious) writer and teacher. I really recommend this book to anyone that would like to expand their blender's repertoire! --CJ Keller
I have the pressure cooker book by these same authors and I love it, so I pre-ordered this. I seldom pre-order because I want to see what other people say. Within an hour or so of getting the book, I was making the first recipe. Okay, it was just vanilla pudding, but that's a recipe that I normally would have made on the stove, so it was interesting to see it come together in the blender. Why didn't I think of that? Lest you imagine that you're somehow going to make pie in a blender, that's not quite how this works. There are recipes for pie ... but you make the filling in the blender and then pour into the crust. Lots of no-bake ones, which is great. --Donna C.
