I originally borrowed this cookbook on a whim from the library—I loved it so much, I had to buy it! I had no idea how many delicious, nutritious grains are available and all the ways you could cook them. I love the lamb and millet dish, and we've cooked many others that were all delicious. I used it to cook a meal for my gluten-free sister when she was in town (a quinoa soup), and she asked for the recipe. I've stocked my pantry with healthy grains and intend to keep spreading the word about this fantastic cookbook. Chrissy Freer knows her flavors!! --digitalrdx

This is a nice selection of sweet and savory recipes utilizing popular super grains. If your looking to change things up, and have access to a well stocked natural foods store, give this a try. Recipes are moderately spiced and well balanced. --Foodiegirl

I'm a bit compulsive when buying books, especially cooking and crafting ones. This book was in a bag with a few others, I read at night and marked the recipes that seamed to be good. The next day and during the following weeks, I was inviting people over and over for lunch, dinner; any occasion was merely an excuse to cook from it. Not only the recipes are delicious, but also very precise when it comes to quantities and time. The use of grains and vegetables, plus spices and herbs, couldn't be a better way to introduce new ingredients to reluctent eaters, as the presentation is great and the flavours burst in every spoonfull. A must have! --Marisa
