Inspirational. I'm more likely to be making simpler syrups like ginger and lime, but the info about egg creams and egg shakes is new and interesting. I've actually realized I have various flavored syrups around here already; Mauby (rootbeer tasting) and cinnamon-basil syrup I had made and had no idea what to use it for, heh. Some of the recipes call for ingredients I'm not likely to have around the house, though. A ripe pineapple is hard to find around here, for instance! But dried apricots, I can come up with, and if I don't have champagne vinegar, I expect apple cider vinegar will have to do. Glad I bought the book.-StillLife
I have not yet made any of the recipes but they all look good. The ice cream recipes were a real bonus. The only thing I was looking for that it didn’t include was sugar free (using alternative natural sweeteners) recipes but most look like I could convert them. Loved the tidbits of Soda facts dotted throughout too. -Carol Karl
Any book that has a recipe for quince wins in my opinion. Quince is a heavenly fruit that has gone out of style and I've no idea why. Soda recipes from the mainstream to the highly unusual. I have loved everything we've tried out of this book and so have my kids. All without that nasty corn syrup aftertaste. -C. Black
