The delightful illustrations in this book sum up the easy feel that Yuki has attempted to create in getting readers to start making sushi. Any easy read that lowers the barrier to having fun making sushi. Perfect as a gift! --K. Teo
If you have never made sushi before, or perhaps want to go a little beyond making very simple tuna or salmon hosomaki (the small cylindrical ones!), then this book might be for you. As well as recipes for constructing the sushi, there is also information on preparing the rice, seafood, etc. The instructions are clear and there are a good amount of pictures, which are a key part of a recipe for me! --Goldengoose
This is a great book on making simple sushi dishes. The instructions are clear and concise and the illustrations are superb. My husband, who has visited Japan in the past, said just flicking through it made him want to go back to Tokyo. I've already made the seafood Futomaki and can't wait to try out the other recipes. --Nitareads
