What a gorgeous cookbook! Luscious photography, and well laid out, accessible recipes of which I have bookmarked many. Received my preordered copy yesterday, and made the first recipe in the book - overnight oats with cardamom & pistachios - which made for a delicious start to this morning. There is a useful section describing Middle Eastern pantry staples, and a wide selection of recipes covering breakfast, appetizers, soups, entrees, salads & dressings, rice, baked goods and desserts. Highly recommend (and I'm not even vegan!)-Jennifer Chinn
I love this cookbook! I've made 10-12 recipes out of it so far and have liked each one and they actually turn out looking like the pictures (I've not had that experience with other cookbooks). The tahini cheesecake with pistachio crust is absolutely delicious and I almost cried when it was gone!! I find the recipes easy to follow and appreciate the authors timesaving tips that accompany some recipes. -Grace205
High quality, very well made cook book -- from Da Capo Lifelong Books. I will keep that name in mind! The book is specifically made to be used in a kitchen environment and will outlive me! I like everything about this book. I'll be adding some new to me ingredients to my pantry -- that's for certain! I'm not even close to being vegan but felt intrigued by some of the many reviews -- I'm very glad that I chose to make the purchase! I'm not planning on going vegan either but am quite certain that I'm going to try out just about every recipe in the book! I love the photography, the layout, the back stories, the tips, the suggestions, the helpful list of ingredients and from where they can all be sourced -- no, I love everything about this cook book! Most well done!!-Joe
