We went to the restaurant in Manchester UK and LOVED it so much we ate there all three nights! Tons of great dishes in here, we’ve already made more than half a dozen. Word to the Americans: chili powder is meant to be like powdered cayenne, not the spice blend of cumin and more that Americans call chili powder. Also I frequently find the spice amounts are too high so now I prefer to use slightly less than the recommended amount of spice when I try a new recipe from the book, because you can’t subtract spice later. -E. I love cookbooks and online recipes, but I don't need your novel or entire life story before each recipe. Mowgli has tons of great recipes with straightforward instructions and minimal stories. After visiting her original location in Liverpool, we've often craved British-style Indian food, and this cookbook is a nice way to get our stateside fix of all our favorites. -Sarah J.
Absolutely love this book! The best Indian cuisine book I have ever brought. If you have been fortunate enough to have eaten in Mowgli, you will not be disappointed with this book. After reading the background and founding values of Nisha’s restaurant (in the into of the book) an amazing recipes, it makes me even more in awe! I’ve tried quite a few of my favourite recipes in this book and I’m really pleased with how they have turned out. This book makes you look like a pro at cooking Indian food...-Gemma
