Andrew Chau and Bin Chen are the co-owners and founders of The Boba Guys, one of the country's most popular bubble tea shops with locations in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. They met in 2011 while working in the corporate world, bonded over a game of ping-pong and shared heritage (and of course, a love of boba) with a dream to change the world with boba milk tea.
This is a fabulous cookbook for boba tea and beyond! During the COVID shelter in place, I have been suffering from withdrawal from Boba Guys. But I’m not exaggerating when I say this book, which came out during the quarantine has absolutely lifted my spirits. First, I mastered the perfect Boba Guys classic milk tea. Got their tea blend, used Strauss half and half... the works! Just like at Boba Guys! Now I’m having an absolute ball working my way through the book. Their Thai Iced Tea is one of the best drinks I have ever tasted, and thanks to this book I can make it every day (and I am!). Really, if Boba is your thing, or if you just like to explore the range of Asian beverages, get this book. You will have a blast with it!-Stephanie
Love boba guys and always been a big supporter! Unfortunately after receiving this book, the front cover was slightly damaged with scratches all over and the gold lettering scrapped off in some areas. It isn't super noticeable if you look from a distance but wish it came in new condition when purchased. Otherwise I would highly recommend supporting them especially during these difficult times!-Emily
I love this book! They break the recipes into components so it’s easy to add more or less flavor or sweet. I have made bubble tea before and I still learned a lot. Would recommend!-Crystal
