Vegetarian for a New Generation: Seasonal Vegetable Dishes for Vegetarians, Vegans, and the Rest of Us

Vegetarian for a New Generation: Seasonal Vegetable Dishes for Vegetarians, Vegans, and the Rest of Us

With ongoing across the country wellbeing activities, we as a whole realize that vegetables should be the primary focal point of our eating regimen. The quantity of veggie lovers and vegetarians in the United States is developing each year, and, in any event, for the omnivorous, cooking and eating more vegetables is the new typical.

Vegan for a New Generation commends advanced vegetable cookery with dishes that are new, straightforward, flavor-stuffed, and, as it occurs, totally gluten free. Creator Liana Krissoff draws on worldwide food conventions, offering new takes on works of art like caponata, lesser-realized manifestations like poha (a morning meal rice and vegetable dish) and bushes (drinking vinegars), and progressively contemporary thoughts like flame broiled collards, cooked shallot plate of mixed greens, and carrot preserves. With 175 scrumptious plans, Vegetarian for a New Generation makes eating more vegetables a joy.

Vegetarian for a New Generation is a fantastic cookbook. Liana Krissoff has to be one of the strongest (though more low-key) cookbook authors out there right now.
Like her last book (Whole Grains), I wasn't sure that I needed another cookbook on a well-covered topic like vegetarian food (I am not a vegetarian). However, just like her Whole Grains book, this is well worth the purchase. There is very little re-hashing of the same old vegetarian food here. This is a great resource for eating fresh, healthy and affordable food all year long. This is a great cookbook because it includes such a wide variety of dishes - not just in ingredients, but also in preparation time and complexity. There are many dishes that are quick and easy for a weeknight dinner, but she also includes snacks and slightly more complicated dishes as well - whatever you're looking for! Dishes we've tried and loved include: Dry-fried green beans with garlic chips and peanut sauce, Healing stew, One-baking-sheet tomatoes and chickpeas, Amy's breakfast poha, Herby falafel, Salt-wilted kale with chile and sesame, and Chipotle potato tacos. The list of dishes I'm excited to try is even longer!-Mcnelly
We've already used many of the recipes in this book and we've loved them all. We are not a vegetarian household but we have friends with all kinds of dietary restrictions and this book will be extremely helpful. We participate in multiple community gardens so having the chapters broken down into seasons is very helpful. Even though many of the recipes are dead simple, I'd say this is a vegetarian book for sophisticated omnivores.-Boba Feta
Yo, turns out cooking without meat is possible and delicious. Okay, I knew that but I love a creative cookbook. This one is a bit more high end. Can't say I have a lot of these items on hand typically but so worth it for when I want to cook a new meal!-Chrissy Reck
