About the Author
Cyndi Allison has been grilling and smoking since she was 12 years old. She started her blog, Barbecue Master, so that she could share recipes, tips, and reviews with family and friends. The blog gathered a following, and Cyndi began writing about outdoor cooking for a wider audience. When Cyndi is not grilling, she enjoys water sports, photography, and reading.
I've read many of Cyndi Allison's food blog recipes and tips over the years, so I was excited to hear that she had written Grilling with Foil Packets. The photos are great and help me to see what the dish is supposed to look like. Her tips are down-to-earth and can help to avoid serving excuses rather than great food. My previous experience cooking with foil packets was wrapping a potato and sticking it in the oven, but this cookbook gives tasty and different options even for a baked potato. My kids liked the potatoes I made based on this cookbook, but since I'm cooking Coronavirus style, I used what I had and put chopped onions (rather than sliced) and pieces of bacon in the "accordion" sliced potato. My crew is gluten-free and a lot of the recipes feature gluten-free ingredients or can easily be tweaked. There are recipes for main dishes, side dishes, snacks, and even desserts. Clean up is simple when cooking with foil packets, which is always a plus for me. I am happy with my purchase and hope Cyndi Allison will write more cookbooks in the future! --Katrena Wells

Cyndi Allison addresses an important issue. How to make delicious food, without too much preparation and easy cleanup. Simply Delicious is how I would describe this book. The pictures are outstanding with realistic preparation times of 15 minutes max, most of them are 10 or 5 minute preps. This book is chock full of information. Not only are these bunches of scrumptious easy recipes, but the What For's, the Why's and How's are all explained. All you need to add is the When, because we already know that Cyndi is a very special Who. The recipes are not typical, not run of the mill and not just main courses. There are plenty of appetizers, good snacking and wonderful desserts. If I could give this book more stars, I would. --Toon

Easy and quick and delicious 😋 What more could you want? --Ardis
