Why I have never thought of purchasing a 'Sam Stern' cookery book before I really don't know ... this one is absolutely amazing and if they are all this good I shall be buying every one he produces.'Virgin to Veteran: How to get cooking with confidence' by Sam Stern is a beautiful hard back book with a retro paper cover and fabulous colour photographs throughout. The layout of the book is unusual and hard to describe but take it from me the uniqueness of design includes a litany of valuable hints and tips throughout in addition to the many and varied recipes all set out in the following chapters:The Virgin kitchen setup: Back to basics kitchen set up that anyone can follow. Seriously, I can't wrap my head around this kid being 21. Chock full of information in a non-traditional cookbook format. I enjoyed reading it as much I enjoy cooking from it. Well done.-Sherry Courtney
