Daisy Cakes Bakes: Keepsake Recipes for Southern Layer Cakes, Pies, Cookies, and More
Daisy Cakes Bakes: Keepsake Recipes for Southern Layer Cakes, Pies, Cookies, and More |
The aroma of cake preparing in the stove, the pretty sheen of icing being prepared overall quite light, or the radiant wreck of estimating and blending elements for treat mixture are recollections appreciated by numerous a home dough puncher. Kim Nelson grew up figuring out how to make family plans close by her mom, grandmas, and distant auntie. This interest bloomed into Kim's cherished organization, Daisy Cakes, which ships delightful Southern layer cakes in memento tins all over the US. Daisy Cakes Bakes shares those family cake plans, just as plans for treats, bars, sweets, pies, frozen yogurts, and that's only the tip of the iceberg. The flavors are rich yet never cloying, the plans are swarm satisfying and easy to make, and Kim's drawing in stories will motivate everybody to begin their own preparing customs.
I just received my copy today and haven't been able to put this book down. It is beautifully put together with great photography, personal stories from Kim Nelson, and, of course, easy-to-follow recipes. I'm not much of a baker so easy and clear is top priority. And I love that the book includes desserts other than amazing cakes because I love pies and cookies equally as much. Top on my list to make: Butter Brickle Cookies, Mint Chocolate Layer Pie, and Pumpkin Roll. My plan to give this book to my son has gone down the kitchen sink. Looks like more purchases to be made ;-) --Palokoff
