This is an absolutely gorgeous cookbook and the recipes are so tantalizing! I have never been to Iceland or Denmark but both countries are high on my list to visit. Now especially that I have spent time with this cookbook. I was so intrigued by the smoked butter recipe that I ordered the maple shavings online (very cheap and easy) and tried it at home. OMG! Smoked butter is out of this world delicious! I used it on Katrin's very nice brussel sprout's dish but then I spread it on some homemade brown bread. SO AMAZING. I also tried the blistered radishes which is a totally different take on radishes I never would have thought of! I love cottage cheese, lemon and mint so the combo was tantalizing. I can't wait to try the meat dishes this winter. I never know how to prepare red meat, lamb or duck and she has some incredible sounding recipes explained in a way that makes it clear and not intimidating. I highly recommend this cookbook for a gorgeous display of photos and a lovely intro to scandi cooking. --Lit234
It truly is a modern and simple approach to the Nordic cuisine. Who would have thought smoking butter and berries was this easy and so delicious? Glorious fish and interesting game recipes too. A great book with stunning photography for everyone interested in Nordic culture and lifestyle. Perfect coffee table book! --Evin Ode
This book is so interesting even to a seasoned cook as myself. I learned so much about Nordic cusine & I love the recipes the author chose. It feels so modern but it is one of the oldest cusines there is. It’s also gorgeous—one of those books you can put on the coffee table. Love it. --Tehra Throp
