I love baking and make delicious things but I cannot decorate at all! I’ve tried other books but they usually involve icing with different tips which I am clueless at. This book is different. It’s more like a decorating hack book. It’s not about baking at all so don’t expect it to have the recipes for cupcakes. This book is about decorating the cupcakes themselves and will guide you in doing it well. There are varying degrees of difficulty here, with some being far more fanciful. Others look pretty easy and involve cutting up cookies and adding candy to make pretty amazing things. My daughter has not stopped looking at it since it came yesterday. There is a design for any theme from animals to holidays to sports. Her favorite right now is a ballet one which looks amazing and doable. For someone like me who is intimidated by decorating this book makes it look easy. I’m actually excited to give it a try. Some designs are more broken up into sections than others but all look like they are explained well. My kids can talk about their next birthday cake all year long so I am definitely going to be getting their cake decorating book as well. It’s a hefty cookbook at over 200 pages in an easy to hold size with heavy paper and gorgeous color photos on every page. -Katherine M.
This book is fantastic. I ordered it for my great niece. We planned on making several of the Christmas themed cupcakes. However, I ordered the Kindle version ( there is one? Why?) by mistake. I don't own a Kindle and neither does she. I've never downloaded the book since I had nothing to download it to. I am upset I was unable to work out a solution with Amazon, but didn't want the rating of this wonderfully illustrated book to suffer because of Amazon. -Theressa M.
Let me say I have all of their books.. I met them two, Months ago when they were advertising this book.. I brought all my older books too.. They signed each and every one of them!! They couldn’t have been nicer.. This book is only 4 steps!! I love their ideas and I just love them.. -Michelle Cataly
