Ricardo's Slow Cooker Favourites: From Lasagna to Creme Brulee
Ricardo's Slow Cooker Favourites: From Lasagna to Creme Brulee |
Ricardo Larrivée (only "Ricardo" to his armies of fans) is one of Canada's modest bunch of certified "big name" culinary specialists in the style of Jamie Oliver or Bobby Flay. Ricardo has a tremendous and energetic fan following dependent on his simple, windy cooking style featured on his Food Network Canada show, Ricardo and Friends. Ricardo has extended his TV accomplishment into a mixed media realm, with a French-language magazine, radio and web spots, and the sky is the limit from there.
Ricardo's moderate cooker book―packed with 150 shading photographs, drawing in plan and 65 incredible recipes―is the ideal mix of character and subject. No one but Ricardo could make moderate cooking provocative and shake off its sullen, customary notoriety. This book tells you the best way to make the ameliorating (Lentil Ragout with Poached Eggs, Beef à la Carbonnade), the unpredictable (cheesecake and crème brûlée) andthe totally astounding (Veal Cheeks with Figs, Maple Beer Ham). As is commonly said on the show, "Ooh, Ricardo, si!"
This is a fabulous French Chef from Montreal, very popular...I was so happy to get the English version..has a TV show - this cookbook is fabulous, easy to use...and great results...strongly recommend it...he has a new slow cooker cookbook but not yet translated into English. --France LaFlamme
I have purchased slow cooker books before....BUT.... Ricardo' book is far superior. I have made so many recipes from the book and all are great. He uses a few different spices and gives excellent instruction. The lasagna recipe is wonderful and I never thought I would be making it in a slow cooker. The other books I bought before really are not up to this one. --Jim
We are currently working our way through these mouth watering recipes. We haven't tried the dessert recipes yet, but the main courses have been wonderful. Beautifully illustrated with very clear directions. Highly recommended. --Pamela Eby
